Keeping thousands of employees "on brand" is an editorial nightmare. Usually, that means endless rounds of proofing and manual corrections to fix tone, clarity, and formatting. I designed and deployed StyleBot—the first Microsoft Copilot Agent at the firm to reach pilot status—to automate that process.
Think of it as a digital brand champion that lives inside our workflow, ensuring every communication sounds like Forvis Mazars before it ever hits an editor's desk.
The Highlights
The Scale: Launched to an initial pilot group of 300 users, with a roadmap to reach 3,000 firmwide.
The Role: Lead Designer & Architect. I handled everything from the initial agent configuration to the final governance handoff.
The Tech: Built using Microsoft Copilot’s no-code agent workflow, making it the first of its kind for the firm.
The Strategy: Automation Without the Bottleneck
Manual brand enforcement is slow and repetitive. My goal was to move the "style guide" from a static PDF that no one reads into an active AI partner that people actually use.
Immediate Compliance: StyleBot applies our Style Guide, Brand Guidelines, and "Words to Watch For" list in real-time.
Reducing Overhead: By catching formatting and tone issues early, we slashed the time spent in editorial review cycles.
The "Human" Safety Net: I built in a layer of SME spot-checks to ensure the AI's suggestions stayed sharp and aligned with our actual goals.
Behind the Scenes (Technical Execution)
I used a "Governance First" approach to make sure the firm actually trusted the tool:
Knowledge Prioritization: I "weighted" our official Style Guide as the primary source of truth, ensuring the agent didn't just make up its own rules.
Security & Risk: I worked closely with our risk teams to implement Zero Trust identity and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) via Microsoft Purview.
The Handoff: I didn't just build it and leave; I created a full troubleshooting protocol and documentation for the teams taking over its long-term management.
The Results
From Pilot to Toolkit: Within a month of launch, StyleBot was officially added to our internal Copilot toolkit.
Massive Efficiency: We’ve seen a significant drop in editorial "back-and-forth," as the agent catches the easy mistakes before they reach a human reviewer.
The Blueprint: This project established the formal model for how we will build and scale AI agents across the entire firm in the future.
The Real Takeaway
This project proved that simplicity is a feature. By using a no-code workflow, I got StyleBot up and running immediately. It showed the firm that we don't need a year of development to create high-impact AI tools—we just need the right governance and a clear understanding of the brand.
